      Quilting Styles Defined

      “Loose” quilting: stitches are spaced 5 to 10 inches apart. Offers a casual look after washing. Soft texture and very comfortable.

      “Medium” quilting: spaced approximately 2 to 4 inches apart. Not as casual as loose quilting and tends to show off the quilting stitches, especially when coupled with wool and lofty batting.

      “Tight,” semi-custom quilting: spaced 1/4 to 1 inch apart. Really shows off the quilting. Offers loads of interest and texture. Excellent choice for special quilts!
